THE MAP OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Weave your notes together with [[links]] and watch the network come alive in a graph. Notes that can reach each other share a colour, the most-linked ones grow larger — and the AI proposes the connections you haven't made yet.
Your graph shows not only the links you have made, but the ones you could make.
Wiki-style links
Type [[ and let it complete. Link to a title that doesn't exist yet and the note is created and linked on the spot.
Clusters in colour, nodes that grow
Notes that can reach each other share a colour. Node size grows with the number of links, so your hub notes reveal themselves.
Time machine
Hit play and watch the notes appear in the order you created them — replay how your knowledge network grew.
AI ghost links
Notes that are semantically close but still unlinked show up as faint dashed lines. Hover to see how similar they are; click once and the suggestion becomes a real link.
What runs where?
- Our own server
Semantic search & ghost links
Embeddings for your notes are computed by a local model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) on our own server. Your note content is never sent to a third-party AI service for this.
- Groq
AI agent
Plain-language commands are processed by a language model hosted by Groq (llama-3.3-70b). When you run the agent, the relevant note content is sent to Groq.
- Groq
Meeting & call recordings
Recordings are sent to Groq for transcription (whisper-large-v3). Your meeting audio does leave for a third party.
The knowledge graph, [[wikilink]] connections and backlink panels are included in Starter. AI ghost links and semantic search are Pro-only.
YOUR ASSISTANT CONNECTS TO ARTIBOARD
With MCP support, AI tools like Claude can both read and write your Artiboard workspace: they see your notes and boards, create new notes and open tasks. No copy-paste — your assistant becomes part of your workspace.
How the flow works
AI client
Claude or another MCP-capable client. You just say what you want in plain language.
MCP
The shared language between your client and Artiboard. It is how your assistant learns what it can read and which actions it can take in Artiboard.
Artiboard
Both reading and writing happen inside your own workspace, and the result shows up in Artiboard right away.
Supported clients
Claude and claude.ai are trademarks of their owner. Artiboard is not affiliated with or endorsed by that company.
What your assistant can do in Artiboard
Read your notes and boards
Your assistant can see your workspace: it reads your notes and Kanban boards, searches inside them and answers your questions from your own content. Read tools have no plan requirement — they work on every plan.
Create and edit notes
It opens a new note mid-conversation or updates an existing one, and the result appears in Artiboard right away. Create and edit tools require an active paid plan.
Kanban and task management
It creates boards and columns, opens and updates tasks and applies labels, while you keep tracking everything on the boards you already use. These tools also require an active paid plan.
Semantic “related notes” search
It surfaces notes that are close in meaning even when they share no keywords, connecting ideas you had written down separately. This tool is available on the Pro plan only.
How to connect
There are two ways: a local setup that runs on your own machine, or a direct remote connection.
Local (API key)
The MCP server runs on your own machine and your client connects to it directly. This route offers a subset of the remote tool set: link, graph, member and assignee tools are not included here.
- 1In Artiboard, go to Settings and generate an API key for yourself.
- 2Add the artiboard-mcp npm package to your client's MCP server configuration.
- 3Pass the key as the ARTIBOARD_API_KEY environment variable; requests are signed with the X-API-Key header.
Remote (OAuth)
Nothing to install locally: your client connects straight to Artiboard, and the full tool set is available on this route.
- 1Add Artiboard as a connector in your client — claude.ai, for example.
- 2The connection is established through the /mcp/rpc endpoint using OAuth 2.1 + PKCE.
- 3Approve access on the consent page that opens, and the connection is ready to use.
Dynamic client registration is disabled: clients must be registered in advance. Get in touch with us for detailed setup instructions. Contact
32 tools on the remote connection
The remote connection exposes 32 tools: account info, 14 note tools, Kanban board/column/task tools and label tools. Permanent deletion and adding or removing members are deliberately left out — your assistant cannot erase your data for good or change who is on your team.
Notes you keep away from AI
When you mark a note as closed to AI, it becomes invisible to every MCP tool: it is not read, not returned in search and not updated. You decide which notes your assistant is allowed to see.
In Artiboard, MCP isn't a bolt-on integration: your assistant reads and writes exactly where your notes and tasks already live.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED
Artiboard is designed to help you focus, get organized, and stay connected.
Smart Notes
A rich editor, slash commands, unlimited nesting and ready-made templates. The AI inside the note summarizes, translates, expands text, fixes grammar and suggests ideas and tasks — AI features are part of Pro.
Integrated Task Management
No complex boards. Create tasks in seconds with AI support and track your projects effortlessly. AI features are part of Pro.
Seamless Communication
In-project chat, WhatsApp-style quick calls and video meetings are open on Starter too. Meeting recording and the post-meeting AI summary come with Pro.
Pomodoro & Focus
Work without distraction with the built-in Pomodoro timer. Optimize your breaks and focus times.
Working Offline
On Android you write and edit offline and your changes sync quietly once you're back online; on web and desktop your notes, projects and tasks stay readable from the cache.
Project Report
Track the progress of your project instantly with live performance data and team analysis.
Linked Notes
Type [[link]] and your notes connect. Link to a title that doesn't exist yet and the note is created on the spot; backlink panels show you both directions.
Semantic Search
It matches meaning, not keywords: a note where you said the same thing in other words still comes up. The "Related notes" panel ranks by similarity, and you can link the ones you like in a single batch. Included in Pro.
An AI Agent You Approve
Ask in plain language: the agent shows its plan first, writes nothing until you approve — and you can undo it whenever you want.
MCP Server
MCP-capable AI clients like Claude connect straight to Artiboard: they read your notes and boards, and create notes and tasks without leaving the chat. Reading works on every plan; creating and editing needs a paid plan.
Whiteboard & PDF
An infinite canvas powered by Excalidraw and tldraw sits inside the note itself — and you can embed your PDF files right there too.
Security & Sign-in Logs
Two-factor authentication (MFA/TOTP), row-level access control and one-click account and data deletion. The sign-in log in Settings shows your last 20 sign-in events.
ARTIBOARD IS NOW IN YOUR POCKET
Pick up on your phone exactly where you left off on desktop. Our Android app has been submitted to Google Play closed testing and is under review.

Write and edit even in airplane mode. Your changes stay on your device and sync automatically once you reconnect.
Notes & [[wikilinks]]
Type [[link]] and your notes connect. Link to a title that doesn't exist yet and the note is created on the spot.
Kanban boards
Drag tasks between columns and update labels, priorities and due dates on the move.
Focus timer
Start a Pomodoro session from your phone, let the breaks arrive on their own and watch your stats add up.
NO CONNECTION? KEEP GOING.
On a plane, in the metro, out of range — keep writing and editing. Your changes sync automatically and quietly the moment you're back online; nothing gets lost.
Write and edit offline, syncs automatically once you reconnect
Offline reading — your latest data opens from the local cache
Keep writing on Android
Take notes, edit them and move tasks forward even with no connection. Your work waits safely on your phone.
Read on web and desktop
Your latest notes, projects and tasks are cached, so they still open and read when the internet drops.
Syncing takes care of itself
When the connection returns, your changes go up in the background. No button to press, nothing to wait for.
Offline writing and editing works in the Android app only. On web and desktop you get offline reading.
BE ONE OF THE FIRST.
You won't find user counts, star ratings or customer logos here — because there is no real data to show yet. So here's a direct invitation instead: try Artiboard and tell us where it falls short.
We're in beta and still waiting on real user reviews. Try Artiboard, tell us what you think, and yours could be the first one shown here.
A note from the founders
Artiboard is built by a small team. That means what you write doesn't disappear into a support queue: your feedback reaches us directly and goes straight onto the roadmap. Most of what's in the app today started with someone saying "it would be great if…".
— The Artiboard team
YOUR DATA IS YOURS.
No sweeping security slogans — just the measures that are actually in place today.
Two-Step Verification
Lock your account with TOTP-based two-step verification (MFA). Captcha is in place on the sign-in flow as well.
Encryption In Transit
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS.
Row-Level Access Control
Authorisation lives in the database itself: row-level security policies expose every record only to the account allowed to see it.
One-Click Account and Data Deletion
If you want out, you delete your account and your data from settings in one click. No support ticket, no email required (GDPR).
Built On Supabase
The database and authentication layer run on Supabase, and the row-level access policies are enforced right there.
Same openness on the AI side: semantic search and link suggestions run on a local model on our own server, while the AI agent and meeting transcription use Groq's models. What runs where?
We don't hold a third-party security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 yet — and we won't pretend otherwise. What we do have is listed above, one item at a time; the day we earn a certification, it will be written here just as plainly.
